Procurement Representative – Direct Materials (Egypt & North Africa)

About the role

Join the Supply Chain function as a Procurement Representative responsible for direct materials across Egypt and North Africa. You will lead sourcing initiatives, drive cost savings, and ensure continuous supply of raw materials, packaging, and contract‑manufacturing services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead compliance, safety and ethical procurement initiatives.
• Manage and negotiate direct‑material spend of approximately $15 M, delivering targeted cost reductions.
• Improve working capital through payment‑term optimisation, inventory management and collaboration with supply planning.
• Act as subject‑matter expert for e‑auctions and sourcing tools, applying best practices.
• Support tactical volumes and key business initiatives by securing supply, optimising costs and managing risks.
• Collaborate with Global Category Leads to implement local sourcing strategies.
• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring quality, service and responsiveness.
• Identify and qualify alternative suppliers/materials to enhance resilience.
• Own end‑to‑end contracting processes and maintain proper documentation.
• Report financial outcomes related to savings, risks and working capital.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 4–5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and supplier management.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP or procurement systems.
