About the role
We are looking for a dynamic Chef de Cuisine to lead the kitchen of our new Morgans Originals hotel in Egypt. The successful candidate will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring exceptional food quality, creativity, and efficiency while embodying our vibrant brand culture.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks and support staff, maintaining high performance and adherence to standards.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations to guarantee smooth service and consistent food quality.
- Design, develop and update menus using seasonal ingredients, creating innovative dishes that reflect the restaurant’s concept.
- Hire, train, mentor and schedule kitchen personnel, conducting performance evaluations and fostering professional growth.
- Oversee inventory management, supplier ordering, cost control and waste reduction to stay within budget.
- Ensure food preparation, cooking and plating meet quality standards through regular checks.
- Maintain compliance with local health and safety regulations, implementing food safety and sanitation protocols.
