Financial Controller (Remote)

About the role

ITBuilders is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead its accounting function remotely. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle, delivering accurate financial statements, and providing strategic insight to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP or local regulations and tax requirements.
• Develop, monitor and update budgets, forecasts and financial plans.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and treasury activities.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures.
• Coordinate external audits and liaise with auditors, banks and regulators.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or CA) preferred.
• 5‑10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
• Proven ability to lead teams and communicate financial information clearly.
