Fire Life Safety Manager

About the role

The Fire Life Safety Manager will lead Marriott Mena House Cairo’s health and safety programme, ensuring a safe work environment for all associates, minimizing illness and injury, and guaranteeing compliance with Egyptian labour and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular hazard and risk assessments, including quarterly OSHA/Safety audits and incident tracking.
• Inspect work areas, equipment, ventilation, lighting and fire‑prevention devices to verify compliance with safety standards.
• Prepare and submit Workplace Risk Assessment Reports, Occupational Health & Safety workbooks, and bi‑annual reports to the Labour Protection and Welfare Office.
• Investigate accidents and health‑related complaints, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Develop, maintain and communicate emergency response plans and fire‑prevention procedures across departments.
• Collaborate with engineers, healthcare professionals and the Occupational Health and Safety Committee to implement control measures for hazardous conditions.
• Monitor and enforce the use of personal protective equipment and first‑aid supplies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field from an accredited university.
• Three to five years of experience in health and safety management, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Proven ability to lead safety initiatives, conduct audits and produce regulatory reports.
