Production Supervisor (f/m/d)

About the role

IFF, a global leader in food, beverage, health, biosciences, scent and pharmaceutical solutions, is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join its Operations team in 6th of October City, Cairo. The supervisor oversees day-to-day production operations, leads shift operations, coordinates workflow and resources, and ensures manufacturing runs safely, efficiently and in line with Quality, EHS and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational leadership during assigned shifts, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality and compliance.
• EHS: maintain a safe, clean, compliant environment, supervise safety requirements, promote a safety culture and engage employees in safety initiatives.
• Quality and compliance: partner with the Quality team on product specifications, ensure GMP and food safety compliance, lead investigations into deviations and non-conformances, support CAPA, and keep production records accurate.
• Team management: lead, coach and motivate production teams, organize workforce activities, assign responsibilities and monitor adherence to procedures and schedules.
• Equipment and resources: ensure equipment is maintained and available, coordinate with Maintenance to reduce downtime, and optimise use of materials, resources and manpower.
• Reporting and communication: prepare daily shift reports on performance, quality, safety, downtime and challenges, communicate with Warehouse, Quality and Maintenance, and escalate issues to the Production Manager.
• Continuous improvement: identify and lead improvement initiatives and encourage employee participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Food Science, Science or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar manufacturing leadership position, including supervising production teams.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, quality systems, food safety requirements and production operations.
• Very good command of written and spoken English.
• Nice to have: experience in food, beverage, ingredients, pharmaceutical or related industries; proven success in continuous improvement and operational excellence; strong knowledge of CAPA and root cause analysis; ability to build high-performing teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP systems.
• Very good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
