Project Assistant – Aswan

About the role

The Project Assistant will support the smooth implementation of all project activities in Aswan, working closely with the Project Manager, supportive departments and external stakeholders. The role focuses on administrative, procurement and financial operations to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure activities are carried out according to the work plan, timeline and budget under the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Lead the organization of project events and gatherings, handling schedules, materials, logistics and related tasks.
• Participate in developing project plans, including programmatic and procurement components, aligned with the project proposal and logical framework.
• Prepare payments, advances and settlements, track expenses, and monitor cash flow.
• Assist in maintaining offline trackers and financial trackers for the project.
• Process procurement requests, follow up on goods delivery, and coordinate meetings with stakeholders.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date documentation system for both hard and soft copies of project documents.
• Support data collection and entry when required and ensure compliance with Save the Children policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Child Safeguarding Level 3 clearance, as the role involves regular contact with children and young people.
