Remote Architectural Draftsperson / Designer for US Residential Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsperson / Designer to join our remote team and produce high‑quality residential construction documents for US‑based clients. You will work closely with architects, engineers and project managers to ensure drawings meet New York State building code requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and produce residential construction plans, sections and fully dimensioned drawings in AutoCAD.
• Develop structural layouts and perform basic load‑path sizing for residential buildings.
• Create electrical and plumbing riser diagrams.
• Prepare drawing annotations, tags, window and door schedules, and footing details.
• Incorporate redlines, revisions and ensure drawing set completeness and consistency.
• Coordinate deliverables to align with New York State residential building code (New Jersey code familiarity a plus).

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience drafting residential construction documents.
• Strong AutoCAD drafting skills for residential projects.
• Proven ability to develop basic structural layouts and perform load‑path sizing.
• Experience producing electrical and plumbing riser diagrams.
• Knowledge of New York State residential building code.
• English proficiency at CEFR C1 level (spoken and written).
• Portfolio or work samples of residential drafting work.
• Details of equipment setup, power backup and reliable internet connection.
