Sales Manager - Leisure

About the role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is hiring a Sales Manager - Leisure in Cairo. The role is accountable for proactively seeking and handling sales opportunities, ensuring business is turned over properly and in time for service delivery, and assisting in leading day-to-day sales activities focused on long-term, value-based customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Work with off-property sales channels so that sales efforts are coordinated and not duplicative.
• Build relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips and trade shows, and develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base.
• Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and provide accurate turnover to Event Management.
• Take part in sales calls with the sales team to acquire new business and close deals.
• Handle the operational side of booked business, such as proposals, contracts and customer correspondence.
• Identify new business to meet personal and location revenue goals, understand the market and competitors, and close the best opportunities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, gather guest feedback and support the company's service and relationship strategy.

Required profile

• A 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management or a related major, with 3 years of sales and marketing experience; or
• A 4-year bachelor's degree in the same fields, with 1 year of sales and marketing experience.
