Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

ProperBird is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead its infrastructure team. This full‑time remote position will own the self‑hosted backbone that powers real‑time crawling and business intelligence for property portals across more than 25 markets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate bare‑metal server infrastructure on Proxmox.
• Manage clustering, storage, backups, and high‑availability for production workloads.
• Implement networking, firewall, VLAN, and VPN solutions using pfSense/OPNsense.
• Self‑host and maintain databases such as MongoDB, ClickHouse, and PostgreSQL.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, Docker environments, and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform).
• Set up monitoring and observability with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Optionally, run LLM inference engines and vector databases for AI‑enhanced services.

Required profile

• 5+ years of DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience, preferably in a senior or lead role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven ability to work independently, set priorities, and drive projects end‑to‑end.
