Senior Financial Analyst

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Finance Manager in maintaining a robust control environment, overseeing month‑end close, and ensuring accurate tax and regulatory compliance. The role also involves partnering with sales, supply chain and other non‑finance functions to provide financial insights that drive commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager in month‑end close and control environment.
• Liaise with the Tax Team to ensure timely and accurate tax return submissions.
• Maintain compliance with tax and other regulatory requirements.
• Assist in managing the treasury function in line with group policies.
• Contribute to business process improvement and simplification initiatives.
• Partner with sales, marketing, supply chain and external stakeholders to influence financial performance.
• Lead accounting for special projects and ad‑hoc business requests.
• Analyze gross margin performance by product, segment and customer.
• Conduct margin sensitivity and scenario analysis.
• Provide detailed COGS analysis, including base oil price fluctuations, blending costs and logistics expenses.
• Monitor production and blending performance against standards.
• Prepare monthly reporting packages and ensure accurate data upload.
• Support preparation of statutory financial statements and external audit coordination.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity through monthly GL reconciliations.
• Record fixed‑asset acquisitions, disposals and conduct impairment reviews.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, audits, valuations and cost revaluations.
• Process vendor invoices, advance payments and intercompany settlements.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting a Finance Manager in accounting, tax, treasury and reporting functions.
• Ability to work closely with non‑finance teams such as sales, supply chain and distribution partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in margin, COGS and profitability analysis.
• Experience preparing financial statements, audit schedules and balance‑sheet reviews.
• Familiarity with fixed‑asset and inventory accounting processes.
