Senior Procurement Specialist, Engineering Services

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to manage end‑to‑end purchasing for engineering services. You will ensure high‑quality materials and services are obtained at optimal cost while supporting the company’s sustainability and innovation goals.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the full procurement lifecycle: review requisitions, source suppliers, negotiate contracts, create purchase orders, verify logistics and delivery, and coordinate supplier payment.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities through market analysis, strategic sourcing, and vendor negotiations.
• Resolve issues proactively by influencing suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and engineering priorities.
• Monitor supplier performance to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Prepare and present detailed purchasing activity reports to the Procurement Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably in technology or engineering environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Proactive problem‑solver with strong accountability and attention to detail.
• Excellent negotiation abilities and strong interpersonal skills for building stakeholder trust.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite.
• Experience using ERP systems for procurement.
• Advanced reporting techniques and data analysis.
