About the role
The Stock Control Manager oversees inventory accuracy, stock movement and warehouse control processes across MaxAB’s warehouses and distribution centres. The role ensures high inventory integrity, minimizes shrinkage, improves stock availability and supports operational efficiency through strong controls, reporting and continuous process improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and control inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, audits and reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
- Investigate discrepancies, reduce variance, damages, expiries and shrinkage while enforcing FIFO/FEFO where applicable.
- Supervise inbound, outbound, returns and transfer processes and ensure proper tracking in ERP/WMS systems.
- Maintain warehouse handling standards, optimise storage utilisation and coordinate with warehouse teams.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly inventory reports, analyse stock trends, ageing and slow‑moving items, and track KPI performance.
- Develop and implement inventory control SOPs, lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and support automation or system‑enhancement projects.
- Lead and develop stock‑control supervisors and inventory staff, set performance objectives and deliver training on procedures and system compliance.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Planning, Finance and Operations to support stock valuation, audits and logistics coordination.
