General Ledger Supervisor

About the role

The General Ledger Supervisor will lead the monthly accounting cycle for the Pasta business, ensuring accurate financial records and timely reporting. This role collaborates closely with the Accounting Manager and supports audit activities while driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform monthly General Ledger activities, including month‑end closing, accruals, amortization of prepayments and adjustments.
• Maintain ERP General Ledger accounts and produce accurate monthly account analyses.
• Prepare HQ debit notes to allocate Group Business Units expenses promptly.
• Generate reports that meet MFIC and departmental requirements, policies and standards.
• Execute bank reconciliations for all cash‑related items and monitor bank accounts, deposits and treasury bills.
• Control marketing expenditures against approved budgets.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and support external and internal audit requests.
• Lead special projects aimed at improving financial reporting through process automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Good command of Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory General Ledger or Financial Accounting role.
• Experience with month‑end and year‑end closing, audits and financial statement preparation.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Understanding of IFRS standards.
