Section Engineer – North Coast (Rail Infrastructure)

About the role

Siemens Mobility Egypt is seeking a Section Engineer to support the high‑speed rail project along the North Coast. You will work on‑site, coordinating daily construction activities across alignments, stations, service points and depots, ensuring that project milestones are met.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily site activities and verify progress against project milestones.
• Assist Section Leads and Site Managers in monitoring construction and tracking priority tasks.
• Ensure site teams use the latest approved drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Prepare weekly progress reports with updates and photographic documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams to facilitate site access and construction interfaces.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary groups (Track, Electrification, Signalling, DWE, AFC) for smooth execution and handovers.
• Identify and resolve site coordination issues while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
• Promote compliance with Siemens Environment, Health & Safety standards on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates or engineers with up to 2 years of experience.
• Strong interest in railway infrastructure, station construction and civil works.
• Valid driving licence and own vehicle.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated and able to work effectively in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (advantageous).
• Familiarity with MS Project (advantageous).
