Cost Control Team Leader

About the role

The Cost Control Team Leader will head a senior cost control team, ensuring accurate budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring, and cost analysis across multiple construction projects. You will act as the primary point of contact for cost‑related decisions, supporting project profitability and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement OC project cost control procedures and manuals.
• Review project budgets, coordinate resources, and issue original budgets.
• Lead the team to update budgets monthly and reflect scope changes.
• Audit monthly cost reports, highlight critical issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor cost plans, identify major deviations, and drive necessary actions.
• Audit invoice status and resolve outstanding items with relevant parties.
• Prepare cash‑flow analyses and monthly productivity reports.
• Support the Cost Control Manager in risk register creation and cost‑close‑out reporting.
• Evaluate resource efficiency, propose corrective measures, and provide cost analysis for variation orders and claims.
• Develop and mentor senior cost controllers and cost engineers.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, risk assessments, and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Commerce.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRMG or CCE are preferred.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Very good command of English.
