Project Engineer / Senior Engineer – Premises Department

About the role

The Premises Department is seeking a Project Engineer / Senior Engineer to lead and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to ADIB regulatory standards. You will work closely with internal teams, consultants, and subcontractors to drive project success.

Key responsibilities

• Create a productive work environment and implement efficient staff workflows.
• Monitor project progress, budget, and schedule, reporting status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities of ADIB staff, consultants, and subcontractors for seamless project execution.
• Liaise with Business Services functions (Projects & Engineering, Premises, Procurement, Contracts & Tenders).
• Finalize scope of works and design in collaboration with consultants and contractors.
• Assist the technical office in reviewing design documents and ensuring compliance with ADIB standards.
• Prepare project schedules, issue letters of award, and manage material requisitions.
• Identify and mitigate risks, deviations, and issues, escalating when necessary.
• Monitor resources (manpower, equipment, materials) and control project budgets.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, bank Code of Conduct, safety instructions, and asset management policies.
• Oversee commissioning checklists and warranty periods in coordination with Maintenance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project engineering or senior engineering roles, preferably within premises or facilities projects.
• Strong ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent analytical skills for monitoring budgets, schedules, and risk registers.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and internal banking standards.
