About the role
The Sorani Kurdish Speaker will join MICO WORLD’s customer support team in Cairo, providing real-time assistance to Sorani-speaking users of the company’s social entertainment applications. This full-time, on-site position involves handling chat, audio and other communication channels to ensure a smooth user experience.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to user inquiries in Sorani Kurdish via chat, audio and other channels.
- Escalate technical or safety-related issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Review, localize and quality-check app content into Sorani Kurdish, maintaining linguistic accuracy and cultural relevance.
- Monitor community interactions, report inappropriate content and gather user feedback.
- Collaborate with product, operations and cross-functional teams to improve the Sorani user experience.
Required profile
- Native or near-native fluency in Sorani Kurdish and strong proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).
- Clear, empathetic and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media or live-streaming platforms and interest in online entertainment trends.
- Strong cultural awareness of Sorani-speaking communities and detail-oriented approach.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment, including evenings or weekends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in languages, communication, media or a related field (preferred).
Required skills
- Proficiency with basic office tools such as spreadsheets.
- Experience using messaging platforms.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems for issue tracking.
